Final score from Gravesend and Northfleet:
Charlton Ladies - 2 Arsenal Ladies - 9
Arsenal Ladies let Charlton score twice in the opening minutes to give them a chance of winning (!!) before a sensible and solid performance put them 3-2 up at half time and then 9-2 at the final whistle. Scorers were Katie Chapman, Kelly Smith and Julie Fleeting with a brace apiece with further goals coming from Lianne Sanderson, Rachel Yankey and Sian Larkin
It is mathmatically possible that the league could still be won by another team but I think that unless there's a major mishap that is now sorted so just the UEFA Cup and FA Cup to go then! In fact the Ladies only need 8 points from the remaining six games to win the league.
As for sensible - well that was the referee who just couldn't stop saying "sensible" and fair play to the announcer who we gave a torrid time to for not being able to say names like "Ciara" and "Sian" correctly.
Arsenal Ladies now face Birmingham Ladies away in the Premiership on Sunday.
